World Foot Health Awareness Month

World Foot Health Awareness Month Committee (WFHAMC) and its yearly programs
Responsible for increasing the awareness of the importance of foot health among the general public and other health professionals, and of the podiatrist as the practitioner of first choice for foot and ankle care.

The committee develops and distributes resource material and poster to aid the successful implementation of plans for the annual foot health Awareness (WFHAM) initiative during the month of May of each year. For 2016 WFHAM, the FIP-IFP want to give more attention to podiatry in relation to cancer.  This theme focuses on conditions that people with cancer and in treatment with cancer may deal with. By reaching out to this specific population, we hope to raise the awareness how this conditon can affect the foot and what needs to be considered.
